LEE RUDNICKI is a creative transactional entertainment lawyer with 20-years of experience. Lee holds a Bachelor’s Degree in jazz music studies from San Jose State, a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, and is a graduate of the UCLA Professional Screenwriting Program. Lee has also completed extensive international law studies at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic. As schedule permits, Lee serves as an adjunct law professor and lecturer, teaching film industry transactions.
Lee's legal experience began in Silicon Valley, as counsel and lead legal negotiator for Vividence.com. Lee then spent several years as an entertainment litigator with San Francisco law firms Jacobs & Ferraro, and Idell, Berman and Seitel, representing clients such as Clear Channel, Bill Graham Presents, and the San Francisco Symphony.
In 2004, Lee moved to LA and established his own law firm. Since then, Lee has represented production companies, directors, producers, screenwriters, actors, editors, sound designers, composers, music publishers, and musicians, all over the world, and has having contract work for Dreamworks and NuovoTV. Active as a film producer, Lee worked primarily from Italy throughout 2016-2017, to serve as legal counsel and a producer on the upcoming film Wonderwell, starring Carrie Fisher and Rita Ora.
Lee loves being an attorney, is is an important part of who he is as a person. But he has has a creative side as well.
Before law school, Lee was a world-class rudimental drummer with a signature drum stick and personal endorsements with Pearl Drums and Zildjian Cymbals. In 1989, Lee helped set a world-record score and win the DCI World Championship with the Santa Clara Vanguard. In 2002, Lee was a show designer for the San Francisco Renegades, who became the first DCA finalist from California in history.
